January Blues - Who Made You Smile?

I know that January can feel quite depressing. Too much happening in one go:
・New beginnings & resolutions, that's hard to keep
・Restrictions that we apply onto ourselves with best intentions
・& the feel of needing to do so much, to plan, to achieve... regardless that year has only just started.
Almost as if people are trying to achieve everything they want in January alone and then what? Or completely stay out of it all, reminding themselves how many times they have failed this race already...

Yeah, January can be not much fun... or maybe, it can be?
I truly value speed. I like when you can optimise things and achieve goals in one, two or three steps instead of ten. Or physically get somewhere quicker. Or use certain practices to bypass subconscious instead of moths or even years of trying consciously watch and change what you are doing in order to create new reality for yourself... Speed is awesome!
I love speed, value time, but also I Love Life.
& now I know that there is time for everything.
When I decided to change my life I was already over 30 y.o. with set ways of living. The thoughts of me being too late, that I won't have time to do it etc. were my often companions. In fact I wasted another year or two just doubting my own feelings, ideas...
So what changed? What can be different?
With all the love for speed and addiction to results, I learned that there are a lot of small things around us that are very important & missing them is like missing half of your life!!!
Like:
~ Who do you talk to the most?
~ How the clothes you are wearing make you feel?
~ What colour is the sky today? And what colour was it yesterday?
Each of those and many more small things can have inormous impact on your life and ability to achieve what you want or completely fail without you even knowing. Devil indeed is in details.
& the trick is that you can not notice those details flying past them with a speed of light.
Life is full and so you too don't have to be on just one side of things. Speed up when it's needed, but slow down and observe when that is more appropriate to do.
January, in my opinion, is very appropriate time for it. Slow down, give yourself time to breathe, reflect, learn a thing or two about yourself, what gives you that extra life boost ✨ & later use it in achieving most important milestones.
Year won't leave without you, so give yourself time to notice what can propel you forwards and skip a step or two on the way to what is so important to you later on 🤍ྀི
& to help you on this journey, here is a question for you to explore:
Who makes you smile?
Is it one or a few people? How often do you see them? Speak to them?
We all know how important is our environment. That it affects us. So maybe for this January we should stick to those, who make us smile :) what do you think?
Until the next time,
Renata Dar
